Zinc marquetry
Double zinc marquetry:
To be precise, it is the drawer in an Isabelino style chest of drawers.
In this case, the veneer is made of rosewood with inlays of zinc.
We find the marquetry on the top drawer, on the laterals and on the chest of drawers feet.
Work notes:
- >Clean thoroughly the areas where the marquetry is missing
- Get a paper template
- Stick the paper template to the zinc sheet
- Cut the sheet with a marquetry saw following the drawing
- Fit the marquetry and stick it in the drawer.
